SGA Advisor
Cameron Patterson ’10, ‘17 is the University’s Vice President for Student Affairs overseeing an area that includes Student Housing, Student Conduct & Integrity, Campus Dining, the Campus Bookstore, Recreation, Title IX, Student Activities, Multicultural Affairs, Counseling Center, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Campus Police. Cameron also serves as a Senior Partner for Strategic Initiatives at the Robert Russa Moton Museum, a National Historic Landmark affiliated with Longwood University and the National Park Service Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Park. The Moton Museum preserves and constructively interprets the history of Civil Rights in Education, specifically as it relates to Prince Edward County and the leading role its citizens played in America’s transition from segregation towards integration. Cameron has worked at Longwood since 2010. Cameron is actively involved in the local community and across the Commonwealth, supporting a number of initiatives. Cameron graduated from Longwood University with a bachelor of science degree in history, and a master's degree in counselor education.

Cheryl Steele
Cheryl serves as Associate VP for Student Engagement and Initiatives and has served as an advisor to SGA since Fall 2015. Previous to Longwood, she was the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Co-Curricular Life at Sweet Briar College. Cheryl oversees student affairs departments in Education and Prevention Programs (including the Longwood Recovers collegiate recovery program), Fraternity and Sorority Life, Multicultural Affairs and Leadership, and the University Center and Student Activities. In addition to working closely with SGA and the SGA Financial Services Specialist, she also serves in multiple other advisor roles for various student organizations. In the local community, she is a Board member for Piedmont Habitat for Humanity. Cheryl holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and Social Science and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Montevallo in Alabama.

Ashley Crute, Senior Class Council Advisor
Ashley has been at Longwood since 2016 and is currently the Associate Director of McGaughy Center in the College of Business and Economics. She graduated from Longwood in 2010 with her degree in Liberal Studies and completed her Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Higher Education from Old Dominion University. In her spare time, she is a Collegiate Province Director for Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and an Area Advisor for the National Panhellenic Council as well as a Farmville Jaycee.

Larry Robertson ‘90, Assistant VP-Student Development
Larry has served in various positions at Longwood since he returned to Longwood in July 2004. Earlier in his career he served as a Residence Education Coordinator at Longwood for three years and in various positions at Virginia Tech over nine years. He is also a Longwood graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in History with minors in English and Political Science. As a student, Larry served as a Resident Assistant, Peer Mentor, and as a member of the SGA. Larry also holds a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in College Student Personnel Administration.
