Ms. Steele has been the Dean for Student Engagement since Fall 2015, coming to Longwood from her previous post as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Co-Curricular Life at Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Virginia. Cheryl loves talking with students and serves in multiple other advisor roles for various student organizations. Cheryl holds a Bachelor's Degree in History/ Social Science and a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Montevallo in Alabama.
Dr. Tim Pierson
Dr. Pierson is the University’s Vice President for Student Affairs and oversees areas including student housing, campus dining, recreation, student conduct and integrity, the counseling center, fraternity and sorority life, and campus police. He has worked at Longwood since 1992 and served as Vice President for Student Affairs since 2000. He previously served in student affairs positions at Willamette University and Michigan State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Central Michigan University and a doctorate in higher education administration from Michigan State University.
Mrs. McGregor or "Trish," is ready to greet all who reach out to the Office of the SGA. She brings to the SGA a love for teaching and training along with years of experience in customer service and office management. Trish serves on Longwood’s campus along with her husband Matt McGregor, Associate Vice President of Wellness and Auxiliary Services. Their son is at Longwood in his second year as a Business Major, while their daughter, a recent graduate, works as this year’s appointed Presidential Fellow. Trish holds a degree in Biology from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio.
Larry graduated from Longwood College in 1990 with a BA in History and from James Madison University in 1992 with a MEd in Counseling Psychology. His first professional job was as the Residence Education Coordinator for Curry Hall. After three years, he moved to Virginia Tech where he worked in many roles over nine years. Fourteen years ago, he returned to Longwood where he currently serves as the Dean of Students. Larry is known for his love of Disney, the works of Jim Henson, movies and working with students.
Katherine Bulifant '13 (M.S. '14)
Katherine has been the Director of Annual Giving since Summer 2017 after previously serving as the Director of Campus Philanthropy and as Interim Development Officer with the Office of University Advancement at Longwood. She loves spending time with her son, enjoys working with students, both through her position in the Advancement Office and as a Longwood Seminar instructor, and enjoys running. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science degree in Sociology, both from Longwood University.
Ashley Crute ‘10
Ashley has been the Director of Scholarships since January 2018 in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Longwood. During her time as a student at Longwood she was involved in SGA, Class Council, Peer Mentors, and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies from Longwood and a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Student Affairs Leadership from Old Dominion University.
Keven Napier ‘18
Kevin currently serves as the Coordinator for Recruiting and Outreach for the Cormier Honors College for Citizen Scholars. During his time as a student at Longwood, he served as SGA President, worked as an intern in the Dean of Students office, was a member of the Cormier Honors College, and a brother of Theta Chi Fraternity. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health and Physical Education from Longwood University.
